We are not outsiders with a plan. We are neighbors with a mission - and a deep belief that Hayfork and Trinity County are worth fighting for.
"This town has survived fires, droughts, and decades of being the county California forgot. We are here to make sure the next chapter looks different."Steven E., Founder - TMI Ventures INC
Trinity County is one of the most beautiful and most overlooked places in California. Surrounded by national forest, carved by rivers, lit by a night sky most Californians will never see - it is also the poorest county in the state, a USDA-designated food desert, and a community that has faced wildfire after wildfire with limited outside support.
TMI Ventures INC was founded on one simple conviction: the people of Hayfork and Trinity County have everything they need to build a thriving, self-sufficient community. They just need the missing pieces - access to fresh food, real local jobs, digital income skills that work anywhere, and the kind of hands-on training that actually sticks.
"We did not come here to save this community. We came here because this community is worth being part of."
We started with grow kits - seeds, soil, and simple instructions for families who have been driving 45 minutes or more just to find fresh vegetables. Phase 1 is about proving what is possible in a small way, so Phase 2 and Phase 3 can grow into something that changes this county for a generation.
Every dollar donated, every hour volunteered, and every professional skill shared with TMI Ventures goes directly into the soil of this community - literally and figuratively. We are building something real, in a real place, for real people who have been waiting far too long for this kind of investment.
Steven is the driving force behind TMI Ventures - the person who looked at what Trinity County was missing and decided to start building it himself. Grounded in the belief that rural communities deserve the same investment as urban ones, he leads every initiative from food access to job creation with equal parts urgency and patience.
[email protected]Jerrica keeps TMI Ventures connected to the people it serves. From coordinating grow kit distribution to building partnerships with local organizations, she ensures that our programs reach the residents who need them most - and that every voice in the community is heard in how we grow.
[email protected]Ian brings the digital dimension of TMI's mission to life - building the tools, platforms, and training programs that teach Trinity County residents how to earn income remotely. In a county where the local economy has limited options, Ian is building the bridge to a wider world of opportunity.
[email protected]Steven E. and the founding team incorporate as a nonprofit in California, with a base of operations at 9102 California Hwy 3 in Hayfork. The mission is set: food access, local jobs, and digital skills for Trinity County.
The Food Desert and Sustainability Initiative launches with seven crop varieties: Micro Greens, Sprouts, Corn, Cucumbers, Green Beans, Watermelon, and Squash. Families in Trinity County receive their first locally-grown food resources directly from the TMI team on California Hwy 3.
TMI Ventures expands its reach - seeking volunteers, skills donors, and financial supporters from across California and beyond. Every connection made now builds the foundation for Phase 2 expansion.
Hands-on farming workshops, expert agricultural consultancy, and a formal training program that teaches sustainable land use adapted to Trinity County. Goal: 50 trained residents, 10 new local farming operations.
A full digital skills training center in Hayfork, creating remote income pathways for Trinity County residents regardless of age, background, or employment history. Because a job you can do from Hayfork is a job that keeps people in Hayfork.
Every Trinity County family deserves fresh, affordable food within reach - not a 45-minute drive away. We are ending the food desert one kit at a time.
We create real employment through our operations and train residents in digital income skills that work from anywhere - keeping people in the county they love.
Hands-on farming knowledge, expert consultancy, and sustainable practices tailored to Trinity County terrain - reviving the land and the people who work it.
We believe real change starts locally. Tools, training, and genuine support for every resident - so Trinity County shapes its own future on its own terms.
We are based on California Highway 3 in the heart of Hayfork. Come by, say hello, pick up a grow kit, or just see the operation with your own eyes. We love showing people what is possible.
